CAN YOU FORGIVE?

WHAT IF KING DAVID WAS REMEMBERED ONLY FOR HIS SINS?

A NEWSPAPER HEADLINE COULD HAVE READ “DAVID, ADULTERER AND MURDERER, DEAD!”

AS SCRIPTURE TELLS US, THE HEADLINES COULD HAVE ACCURATELY READ; “COUNTRY MOURNS, KING DAVID DIES!” OR “SLAYER OF GIANT PHILISTINE DIES!” OR “KING DAVID, GOD’S CHOSEN, LIFE COMPLETE!”

WHAT COULD YOUR HEADLINE READ? WILL OTHERS REMEMBER YOU FOR YOUR SINFUL ACTS OR FOR YOUR GODLY IMPACT?

JUST AS IMPORTANT; WHAT WILL YOU REMEMBER OF OTHERS? WILL YOU REJOICE IN THEIR WALK WITH GOD OR WILL YOU HOLD BITTERNESS OR ANGER TOWARDS THEM FOR SINS WHICH YOU COULD HAVE AND SHOULD HAVE FORGIVEN?

IF GOD CAN FORGIVE THOSE WHO HAVE SINNED AGAINST YOU, WHY CAN’T YOU? YOU CAN FORGIVE. CHOOSE TO FORGIVE SOMEONE TODAY.

NOT TO FORGIVE A SIN IS A SIN.

“DO NOT JUDGE, AND YOU WILL NOT BE JUDGED. DO NOT CONDEMN, AND YOU WILL NOT BE CONDEMNED. FORGIVE AND YOU WILL BE FORGIVEN.” LUKE 6:37 NIV
