“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” Luke 6:46 NIV
READ: LUKE 6:43-49
Dreamers dream. Talkers talk. Doers do!
Are you a dreamer, a talker or a doer? Everything in life is a choice. What time you get up, what you eat, the car you drive, where you live and your job are all choices for the most of us. If you don’t like something about these things you can dream about changing them, talk about doing something or actually doing something to correct what you don’t like.
Relationships are like that as well. You can do what is necessary to improve a relationship or you can talk about what needs to be done or be really passive and just dream about changing it.
What about your relationship with God? Do you dream of a closer walk with your Lord and Savior? Do you talk about doing His work? You have a choice to have any type relationship with God you desire. It is not up to someone else. It is up to you.
Be a ‘Doer’. Start by asking God what He wants you to do. Is God telling you to be more active in your church, join a bible study, spend more time with your family, to adopt an orphan, to tithe regularly or to go on a mission trip? It is time to stop dreaming and talking about what you can do with God. It is time to start doing as God is leading you.
God has a plan for you. Listen to Him, then be a ‘Doer’ and DO as God leads you.
Today’s prayer: “Lord, please help me stop dreaming and talking about making changes in my life. Help me stop procrastinating and start doing the work you have prepared me to do. Amen.”
