“For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.” Romans 5:19 NIV

The word luck has wrongly edged its way into the everyday language of GOD’S believers’ everyday life. Too many of us never give thought to the evils of this word.

Luck is a word from Satan himself.  It describes his very nature of pulling us away from the wonderful blessings of our LORD.   Blessings are not luck.   Blessings are all from the grace of GOD.   Believing in luck or even the notion of luck undermines your faith in GOD.

Luck is totally dependent upon chance.   We can understand in our culture, there is good luck or bad luck or no luck at all.  With luck there is no place for GOD.  Luck is maybe or maybe not.  GOD is absolute.

Do you think it does not matter if you use the word luck.   Well, it does matter.  Your choice of words is a verbal description of your faith.   Using the word luck is telling others you care more about a chance than being grounded in prayer and hearing GOD’S answers.

Luck is certainly a four letter word.  Using it loosely is no different than the four letter words your mother would wash out your mouth with soap for using.   Honor GOD by understanding HIS blessings are gifts to be treasured and respected.  Understand, also, the bad things that happen to us are not bad luck but from the devil himself.   Don’t honor Satan by using the word luck.

Today’s prayer:   “Thank YOU, LORD, for all the blessings YOU have given to me by YOUR wonderful grace, most at times I was not deserving.  I know my life is not by luck, but by YOUR perfect design.  Amen.”
