“NATIONAL PROCRASTINATION WEEK”

“When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.”  Ecclesiastes 5:4 NIV

Read:  Ecclesiastes 5:1-5

In the spirit of National Procrastination Week, today it has been announced that National Procrastination Week was last week.

Do you celebrate procrastination?   Is procrastination a common practice or is it  a permanent resident in your daily life?   It does not have to be.

Procrastination can be a result of fear.  It can be from a fear of failure, a fear of rejection or a fear of someone else.   But fear does not have to control your life.   Doing what you need to do today and not procrastinating will give you power over the evils of this world including fear.  Procrastination can also be just a little laziness or not liking what you need to do.   You decide.

Our scripture verse tells us:  “When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.”   As believers, we are to fulfill our vows.   GOD has given us this day to use.  We can waste it full of procrastination or we can use this day to fulfill all GOD wants of us.

Stop procrastinating and do it GOD’S way.

Today’s prayer:  “MY FAITHFUL GOD, Thank YOU for creating me to do YOUR will.   Help me to recognize all YOU want for me and of me to do and to not put off.   Amen.”
