“YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!”

“And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.  Luke 2:29-30 NIV

Read:  Luke 22:24-30

This world has a way of kicking us in the teeth.  Some days it is hard to understand if we are beaten up or beaten down.  Satan and his angels are openly walking the streets to maim and destroy us physically, mentally and spiritually.

There are those who will openly criticize and condemn you for little or no reason.

Some will call you friend and look down on you at the same time.   Are they really your friend?   They are more likely just an acquaintance.   Sometimes it is easier to turn the other cheek when you are walking away from abusive words or actions.

Our own thoughts and actions add to this experience of feeling we are a failure.  We are sometimes our own worst enemies.  We can wallow in our own misery or we can do something about it.

So, what do you do?  How do you shake the attitude of little worth?  Start with a prayer.   Pray to have these feelings taken from you.   GOD will take your feelings of being a failure away.  Then, it is up to you not to take them back.  Leave the feelings of failure at the foot of the cross.  GOD loves you and has a special plan just for you.

Today’s prayer:  “HEAVENLY FATHER, Thank YOU for believing in me.  Thank YOU for knowing me in ways I do not even know myself and for having a special plan for my life.  I am prepared to lay my doubts aside and follow YOU.  Amen.”
